Experience Your Tropical Treehouse Adventure

A treehouse nestled in lush greenery with promotional text inviting an adventure.

The Resort

Have you ever wanted to enjoy a lush tropical jungle while sipping your morning coffee?

Imagine yourself listening to the sounds of the exotic birds as you slowly swing in your hammock overlooking the countryside.

Start your day with treetop yoga and some much needed self-care before jumping into a hot outdoor shower to begin your day relaxed and refreshed.

In the afternoon, you can hike to discover a beautiful waterfall or borrow the bikes on property and ride to a fantastic beach with ample opportunities to interact with the locals. This isn’t the crowded beaches of Punta Cana. This is the Samaná Peninsula of the Dominican Republic and it should be your next getaway!

Stays here are insanely affordable at $150/night and include all of your meals and drinks made with their delightful locally produced rum. All of your meals are offered in the onsite restaurant which serves authentic Dominican cuisine. Are you interested yet?!

The Travel Byrds is partnered with this tree house village to bring you a new way to experience the Dominican. You’re welcome to bring the whole family or simply rent one of the VIP suites for a bit more seclusion.

The village has a great pool and a full-service spa to melt away the stress of life. You can end your day of exploring by enjoying music around the firepit while sipping on a cocktail from the lounge.

Oh yes, the exploring….

The Experience

Wake up in the open air tree house, pull back your mosquito net, and gaze out into the jungle surrounding you. Get ready to begin any of the exciting adventures available in the peninsula. Here are just a few of the highlights!

1.) Discover El Limón

Begin your journey, seeking El Limón. You’ll have to hike through a dense jungle to get there (guided hikes available), but at the end of your journey, you will be rewarded with a 130 foot waterfall cascading down a fern-filled grotto. Then, you’ll strip off your hiking boots and jump into the stunning emerald pool below and let the waters wash away the day.

2.) Watch for Thousands of Whales

If you visit during the late winter, another favorite activity is to head out to the bay and watch some of the more than 2,000 humpback whales that migrate through the waters every year. These stunning creatures are easy to spot and are plentiful from mid January to late March.

3.) Enjoy One of the Top 10 Beaches in the World!

If it’s a stunning beach you’re looking for, check out Playa Rincón described by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. The beach is over 3 miles long, offering docile and calm waters for snorkeling and sunbathing on one side and rolling waves for body surfing fun on the other. No need to pack a lunch for this excursion as there’s seafront casual restaurants serving up their freshly caught offerings.

There’s activities to keep you busy for days on the peninsula! For more information about the incredible ziplining, the stunning national park, the many cliffside restaurants or enjoying the local countryside on ATVs
