What to Expect:
This package brings you far from the tourist traps of Punta Cana, allowing you to be immersed in the relaxed Dominican lifestyle. You’ll be staying in the renowned Dominican Tree House Village in an open air thatched hut, complete with hammocks, mosquito nets, and outdoor showers to keep you comfortable in their unique accommodations. This all-inclusive resort is just a short hike from a tropical waterfall as well as a beautiful white sand beach. You can take your meals at the resort or on the beach, whichever you prefer. Make sure to try one of the included yoga classes and enjoy a night by the fire pits!
You’ll spend your days exploring the mangrove forests by kayak in the Los Haitises National Park, This area has tons of 100 ft rock formations jutting out of the water, bird sanctuaries, a variety of hikes, and several caves with Taino petroglyphs. You’ll take some time to complete a short hike into the forest to El Limón, a 130 foot waterfall cascading down a fern-filled grotto. You can swim in the emerald pool below and let the stress wash away as you listen to the sound of the rushing water. You’ll also spend a day at Playa Rincón, which has been touted as one of the best beaches in the world. You’ll experience 3 miles of stunning white sand, fantastic snorkeling, and beachfront restaurants serving up their fresh catch!
After spending a few days on the Samaná Peninsua, you’ll venture out to La Romana, to begin your trek back home. You’ll stay a few days in this quaint town known for it’s world class golf courses and access to the countries top attraction Saona Island. The island is a Caribbean oasis with some of the clearest water and amazing wildlife you can imagine. A crowd favorite is to hunt for the plentiful starfish.
All activities are optional and can be swapped out for a variety of exciting excursions including deep sea fishing, scuba diving, hand rolling cigars, zip lining, riding ATVs through the sugarcane fields, whale watching, etc.
